The fine folks over at Carrie Leigh's NUDE Magazine have started pre-ordering for the next edition of their quarterly publication. Every experienced photographer of the nude knows that to be a great model requires much, much more than a nice figure. A great model can elevate your work and inspire you. NUDE magazine is on the hunt for your suggestions of great models to celebrate in upcoming issues. I'm pleased to see that in the next issue, they are featuring the wonderful Candace Nirvana who I had the pleasure of shooting a couple months back.

Special Guests!

This week I was more than delighted to welcome three very special guests over to my house when photographer Dave Aharonian came by with two of the best professional art models in the business.

Candace Nirvana (left) and Stephanie Anne Landers (right) happened to be traveling through the Pacific Northwest and fortunately for me they both made it to Victoria. Even more fortunately for me, I was able to have a fantastic shoot with Candace this past Wednesday, and I'm shooting Stephanie Anne later today.

Both of these women are sensational models and charming people. If they happen to be traveling in your part of the world anytime in the future, don't miss the chance to hire them. Your portfolio will thank you!

Jean Jacques Andre

JJ Andre has just added an interesting new series of galleries to his website entitled "The Models", in which he spotlights each of the women he's worked with over the past 50 years of figure photography. Although he is best known for his fantastical photo-manipulations, the images in these galleries are generally the pure "source" images that he later worked into his montages. Great stuff for Andre "completists" like myself.

This week's model profile is professional art model (and Art Nudes reader) Stephanie Anne Landers. Stephanie's striking looks remind me of Faye Dunaway from the Bonnie and Clyde era. Sadly, last time she was on Vancouver Island, Dave Aharonian hogged her all to himself, (damn you Dave!) but hopefully she'll make it back this way again. In the meantime, she is based in New Mexico, but continues to travel around North America and shoot with other fortunate photographers.
