Free Swim's new ep 'Yolanda The Panda' is as English as a fry up in a greasy spoon. Channelling the spirits of The Bonzo Dog Doodah Band, Art Brut,and The Kinks to tell tales of intrepid and very English mountaineers and pandas being taken into custody by the Chinese authorities. As you might guess it doesn't take itself too seriously and therefore could well be the antidote to the new White Lies album.
Namechecking Sir Edmund Hillary, Tony Hawk and Sarah Palin and including a contender for the strangest song title of the year 'Swooping Swoopily Like A Swooping Swooper' 'Yolanda The Panda' is an acquired taste but a taste well worth acquiring.
