The Sound Of The Plunderground

GrazGraz
From: Washington, United States

A big dose of kudos to Ms Valerie Park Distro, an online store out of
Olympia, Washington who alerted me to a skip load of great music from the US.

I'll feature a few of the bands from their extensive and highly varied list over the coming weeks but first up is Graz a leading exponent of the genre we like to
call Rapid-Fire-Amen-Infused-Mashcore. Admittedly not quite as catchy as say grunge or even witch house but, like Ronseal Perfect Finish Floor Paint, it does exactly what it says on the tin.

The Graz sound is constructed of snatches of sound plundered from various sources all held together with twitches and bleeps familiar to anyone who has stayed up all night to beat the third level boss on any number of hand held gaming devices. If you ever wondered what the sound of an original vintage game boy being fired from a bazooka might sound like then wonder no more. Just take a listen to Graz's brilliantly titled Kick Ass In A Cheap Suit and tick it off your bucket list!

It's the sound of the plunderground.
