Terror BirdFrom: Vancouver, Canada
Terror Bird is a Vancouver-based duo featuring Nikki Never and Jeremiah Haywood. I stumbled across the duo while surfing the internet looking for band's to feature on the blog and was absolutely blown away by 'Shame Is On Your Side'. If you've been looking for the missing link between The Supremes and the Pretenders at their poppiest then I may just have found it for you. It's a huge song. It's pop so big it could consume the planet. Nikki's vocals on the track could stop traffic. It's the sort of performance that makes you glad to be alive.
The rest of Terror Bird's repertoire is a little more downbeat. Tracks like Who's Sorry Now, Just A Mistake and Shadows In The Hall sound like a cross between PJ Harvey and The Eurythmics suffering a bout of mild depression.
Why aren't Terror Bird massive? Why aren't they soundtracking the lives of everyone in the global village? That's a question that greater brains than mine will need to ponder because it's baffled me. 'Shame Is On Your Side' is already a leading contender for the top 10 tracks of the year and, at the moment, it's not far from the leading contender.
Check out Terror Birds it may just change your life.
