I may be jumping to conclusions here but I assume that Goodluck Jonathan are named after the Nigerian leader who threatened to suspend the national soccer team from playing for two years because of its poor World Cup showing. Which seems an odd choice of band name for an angsty math-rock band from Brighton.
The edgy five piece have been creating a buzz around the nether regions of the UK indie scene following well received appearances at Club NME. You better get some earplugs because the buzz is going to get louder with the release of their debut ep 'This Is Our Way Out'. More angular than a Frank Gehry building it'll excite anyone who ever wondered what a Foals and ...Trail Of Dead souffle would taste like. The band claim that that world 'needs a soundtrack with fucking big drums' and by god the boys have delivered it!
When you have as much talent as Goodluck Jonathan you don't need luck.
