Two of the band members of Boycotts like The Smiths and two of them like The Cribs so, apart from endless band arguments about Johnny Marr's best work (it was with the Smiths by the way!), it's understandable that they sound a little like a cross between both bands fronted by Harriet Wheeler's perky young sister.

Stina Twee (surely not the name on her birth certificate) has a lilting, swooningly sweet voice that throbs with a combination of innocence and desire while the band churn out shimmering, jangly brit-pop of the kind that seems to have been unfairly judged as passe by a music press obsessed with the latest fashion. If anyone can bring it back into fashion it's Boycotts.
